The Kingdom of Cambodia was a former French colony. It is located in Southeastern Asia and is divided into 25 provinces. It shares borders with Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. Cambodia has an open economy, with a GDP of around $30.7 billion. This places it as the eighth-largest economy in Southeast Asia. Its per capita income is $4,645. The primary GDP contributors are services and industries. The country's principal export is clothes manufacturing. Cambodia is a well-developed tourist destination with several attractions. It is renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage sites and natural beauty. Angkor Wat, the capital of Phnom Penh, the Sihanoukville beaches, Battambang, and Kampot are among the most popular destinations. The majority of the 6 million annual tourism visitors come from neighboring Asian countries, the United States, and Europe. In recent years, visitor numbers have increased by two-digit percentages.
